What is Rootswap?
Rootswap is a simple, non-custodial swap interface. It finds you a route through Jupiter (Solana) or LI.FI (Ethereum and other chains, including cross-chain swaps), and you sign every transaction in your own wallet.
Do you hold my crypto?
No. We never take custody of funds. Every swap is a transaction you approve in your own wallet, and tokens go straight back to that wallet.
What does it cost?
A 0.5% Rootswap fee on each swap, plus the normal network fee for the chain you’re using. On the “Ethereum & more” tab, LI.FI (the routing provider) also charges its own 0.25% fee, so the total there is shown as about 0.75%. Every fee is itemised in the quote before you confirm.
Is Rootswap safe?
Rootswap never holds your funds or keys. Swaps run through Jupiter and LI.FI, two of the most widely used swap aggregators, and every transaction is shown in your wallet for you to approve first. The main risks in crypto are the tokens themselves (some are scams) and fake sites, so always check you’re on our real domain and double-check new tokens before buying.
What is a DEX aggregator?
A decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator checks prices across many exchanges at once and splits or routes your trade to get you the best rate, instead of you comparing Raydium, Orca, Uniswap and others by hand.
Can I swap between chains?
Yes. On the “Ethereum & more” tab you can swap within one chain or straight across chains, like ETH on Ethereum to USDC on Base, or USDC on Base to SOL on Solana. Cross-chain swaps usually take a few minutes.
Which tokens can I swap?
Thousands: SOL, ETH, USDC, USDT, wBTC, popular meme coins and more. You can also paste any token’s contract address. Unverified tokens are flagged so you can double-check before buying.
Will you ever ask for my seed phrase?
Never. No real app needs your seed phrase or private key. If anyone claiming to be us asks for it, it’s a scam.
What if a swap fails?
On a single chain, a failed swap reverts and your tokens stay in your wallet (you may still pay the network fee). Cross-chain swaps can take a few minutes; you can follow progress in the swap history.
